About the Role:
A growing organisation in Manchester is seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Technician to become a key member of their team. You will be the primary point of contact for technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day IT systems by addressing hardware, software, and networking challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
– Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff both on-site and remotely.
– Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues effectively.
– Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
– Managing user accounts, permissions, and access control.
– Assisting with IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
– Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of IT procedures and support logs.
Requirements:
– Proven experience in an IT support or service desk role.
– Solid understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
– Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
– A logical and methodical approach with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL) are desirable but not essential.
