About the Role:
A friendly finance team in the Formby area is looking for a proactive and reliable Administrative Assistant to focus on Accounts Payable duties. In this role, you will be responsible for managing purchase invoices, maintaining supplier records, and supporting the smooth operation of the accounts payable function. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a finance administration role, strong organisational skills, and good attention to detail.
Responsibilities & Duties:
– Processing purchase invoices accurately.
– Maintaining and updating supplier ledger records.
– Reconciling supplier accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
– Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
– Handling invoice queries and processing credit notes.
– Recording payments made to suppliers.
– Assisting with general finance administration and ad hoc tasks as required.
Key Requirements:
– Previous experience in a finance administration role.
– Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions.
– Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (knowledge of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables is advantageous).
– Familiarity with accounting software (training may be provided for specific systems).
– Strong communication and organisational skills.
